'Staff' 2023 Ground Scallop shell plaster H: 168 x Diam: 2cm and oak stand H 100 x D:30 x W:20cm
This partly commissioned sculpture by EQ and CEG, was made from the form drawn from the top of a tramline thrown up from the centre of Bristol by a bomb blast during the Good Friday Blitz of 1941. It embedded itself in the church grounds narrowly missing St Mary Redcliff church. This former was used to turn several plaster shapes, these were going to be moulded and cast to construct a translucent column 4.5M H x 2M at its widest point.
