'Many Worlds' 2024...Pastel on 300-gram watercolour paper x 10...30cm x 42cm
The finishing event at @tremenheeresculpturegardens gallery was a great success. Barbara and I had a fantastic time showcasing a spontaneous drawing performance. We used my scallop shell plaster as a unique drawing medium and Barbara's delicate charcoal sticks from her Wander-Land work 'Stepping Stone Bridges'.

Cloud Factory 2023
My work remains rooted in engineering. It’s the hidden technology that interests me, the things that surround us that you never really notice until they reveal themselves in that single moment. Living near Avonmouth for most of my life, allowed me to explore this alien industrial landscape of structures and factories that sit in a vista untouched for thousands of years. It was sunrise early in the morning, the wind was non-existent, the tide was high, and the power station was venting steam from its turbines after producing electricity for the early morning rush hour. This friendly mushroom cloud of water vapor always catches my eye and constantly plays in my head for a possible future sculpture.

Whole and Black Sun
These were originally based on fluid calculations for moving an object faster than sound. The resulting image was then re-rendered for moving an object faster than light through space and a perceived fluid dark fluid; Dark matter and dark energy a repulsive force that makes the universe expand at an accelerating rate. The two have always been treated as separate phenomena. They may in theory both be part of the same strange concept – a single, unified negative mass “dark fluid”.
